European Year of Creativity and Innovation 2009, the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission are jointly a two-day forum, on 20 and 21 April 2009,. to showcase the creativity of Europe’s regions and cities and to demonstrate the importance of creativity and innovation for economic development. The event has two broad aims: First, to create a platform for exchanging best practices among those regions, cities and experts who have expertise in promoting creative industries and innovative approaches in different areas. Second, to bring together 100 young creative talents – artists, architects, designers, film directors, internet experts – from all over Europe who have contributed to the development of the local economy, for example by setting up their own businesses.
Selvom jeg fortsat er en lille smule usikker på hvad dagene egentlig skal byde på, og hvad jeg skal bidrage med, glæder jeg mig selvfølgelig til at møde en masse spændende mennesker og igen at sige hej til folkene bag Shapeshifters, hvor jeg holdt foredrag for et par år siden.
